A little bit about us

We have been operating as a retail nursery since 1999. Prior to us Gentiana was owned by esteemed Victorian plantswoman Lois Lucas.

I have so many customers who have been coming here year after year over a long period – to me this speaks volumes. My aim is to grow on site a range of plants not generally available in other outlets. Most of the plants I sell have been propagated on site under natural conditions without the use of chemicals.

As a dedicated Plantsman with 30 years experience I am able to provide a wealth of information on the requirements of the plants you wish to grow and their suitability to the climate in which you live. My goal is to for you to become a regular customer so I have a vested interest in the plants you buy flourishing.
