This is a member of the Gesneriad family along with African violets and Streptocarpus.It is an epiphyte so perfect for hanging baskets or attached to a tree trunk. The flowering period is all summer and its leaves slightly fleshy.
Aeschynanthus are sub tropicals therefore will not tolerate frost.
