Aster x frikartii

Said to be the finest aster mine is most probably the cultivar called monch. This aster flowers earlier than most with large almost iridescent mauve flowers over a long period from early summer until Autumn. Unlike most Aster it does not divide easily and a large plant will only provide a very few divisions. I grow it from cuttings.
