Cyclamen coum is a winter flowering species naturally occurring in deciduous and pine woodland. Plants from these environments generally like some sun and moisture during the winter months then a cool rest over summer. The best way to achieve this cool dormancy is to plant the corms deep and cover them with a thick mulch during dormancy. They have no trouble pushing shoots through 10cm of mulch.
The flower colours in this group range from soft through to very deep pink.
The leaf pattern on these plants is variable
