Geranium cinereum

Cinereum is an alpine Geranium. This is not the easiest plant to cultivate but for the devoted gardener the effort is well worth while. Being an alpine plant it needs a very free draining position and plenty of water over the summer months. Depending on soil type the addition of dolomite helps. The flowering is sporadic from mid Spring through to Autumn. I grow mine in full westerly sun but some afternoon shade would be advisable in hot districts.
