Hedychium greenei

This is a plant with much to recommend it.The stems and leaf underside are orange/brown, the leaf top is deep glossy green and in the autumn flowers are a good clean orange. This ginger needs some sun, mine gets around 2 hrs in the middle of the day and performs very well. The stems hold up quite well over winter so its cut back in early spring.
The stems grow to about 1.8m.
