The yam daisy once covered vast swathes of Victoria and was a staple of the Indigenous Victorians who cultivated it in great numbers.Sadly the introduction of sheep who grazed this plant to the point of extinction. I have heard it described as looking like dandelions but I fail to see the similarity both flower and foliage are distinctly different.
I have found the cultivation of this food crop to be relatively simple. It needs good loamy soil and loves wood ash. Also seems to enjoy commercial potting mixes.
I have plants 3 months from seed and ready to plant out.
