Oxalis purpurea var. purpurea

This bis the red leaf oxalis with hot pink flowers in late spring. It is summer dormant and will start surfacing with the first Autumn rains. Pururea is a spreading variety but I have never had an issue with it in the garden. Its foliage sits just above soil level and there is no self seeding. This little bulb looks fantastic with silver leaf shrubs such as Picea montgomery.
