Rhinacanthus beesiana

Not common in Australian gardens this is a shrub from the family Acanthaceae. It has quite large quilted leaves which are deep green and slightly glossy. The tubular white flowers appear late spring into summer.

Rhinacanthus grows to 2m in my garden and will require some sun to flower well. It comes from Yunnan province in China and into northern Myanmar.
