Salvia mexicana lime calyx

A late summer, Autumn flowering Salvia with striking lime bracts and rich purple flowers. I prune mine early January to hold the flowering off until Early Autumn.
This is not a drought tolerant Salvia which is indicated by its largish soft foliage. Neither is it long lived but is very easy from cuttings and layers. Its life can be extended with pruning.
