Veronicastrum virginicum

Veronicastrum is the quintessential meadow garden perennial. This plant is very slow to establish and bulk up so my advice would be to get it right first time then leave it alone. Not a plant for those who are perpetually shuffling. The white spires are born on 1.5m stems and its emerging shoots in spring a lovely rust colour. I also have the pink form called cohen jansen.
