I am not entirely sure about the naming of this species. This is an Australian native Wahlenbergia growing only in Alpine areas. It spreads by rhizomes making loose clumps, this is not an invasive plant. The flowering is late spring and most of summer. The purple/blue flowers are a richer shade than most Wahlenbergia species.
The whole plant is only 5cm tall and requires cool moist conditions to flourish.
