Podophyllum peltatum

Not a plant for the faint hearted. A cool climate perennial that has the capacity to run amok given the right conditions. The big round marked leaves are very telling in the shade garden. Its appearance is fairly brief, surfacing in spring and gone by late summer. Reaching 30cm the white flowers droop under its foliage.
