lewisia cotyledon sunset strain

A north American alpine plant with almost succulent type foliage and very boldly coloured flowers. Lewisia require perfect drainage so a crevice garden or a pot with very free draining mix would suit them well. They like to be cold and dry so must be allowed to dry out completely between watering. Of all Lewisia species and hybrids sunset group are the most hardy. They come in a dazzling range of colours from pure white through to hot pink and orange.These plants are best grown in partial shade during hot weather.

The plants I have now are 18 months from seed so not yet flowering size, I am hoping they will do this next spring.
