Symphytum tuberosum

This is a small summer dormant tuberous perennial. The tubers start to show in mid Winter followed by soft yellow flowers in spring. With the first hot weather the whole plant disappears.
Best grown in deciduous shade with a cool dry summer. This plant is not rampant like some in the genus, it just slowly spreads out to make small clumps.
