Aubrieta purple cascade

Aubrieta is a rock garden classic once common around the nurseries but now all but disappeared. It comes in a range of colours but the purple has performed best in my garden. In spring Aubrieta becomes a solid block of colour and will happily trail over walls or in amongst rocks.
I have grown it in both full sun and part shade, the plan in semi shade does not flower so thickly but its season is much longer and the foliage remains in good order all summer.
