Babiana is a bit of a confusing genus, they hybridise freely so all sorts of variations occur. I use the species stricta loosely.
Babiana are a South African species. Many South African bulbs can be a weedy some terribly invasive. This one self seeds here but not rampantly, the flowers are always a mix of blue and purple. Trying to separate them by colour is futile.
A plant for full sun that tolerates extreme dry during dormancy. For the next few weeks I will have dry bulbs available of a very dark form. They will be 4 bulbs per single order.
I am currently on vacation and products from my shop will be unavailable until October. Thank you for your patience and I apologise for any inconvenience.
