Its alway interesting how plants adapt to different environments. I have had this plant in my garden for many years and its always been very well behaved, however I planted it in a garden just 100m higher than me and its a complete thug self seeding all over the place and running like crazy. In drier lowland gardens its a very good tough plant for partial to full shade. It makes a wonderful edging plant in the shade garden. The flowering starts in late winter and continues into early summer, the foliage is evergreen.
